Volleyball defeats Tri-County in first round of Regional Tournament

The seniors were honored at their last regular home match Thursday night.

IMS started regional tournament play at home on Tuesday with a win against a young Tri-County team. IMS was able to hold the Trojans to single digits all three games: 25-3, 25-9, 25-8.

“We accomplished our goal of staying focused and taking care of business. We had set three statistical goals for the match, and we attained two of the three,” coach Miller said.

Statistical Leaders for the evening were: Suzanna Yoder with 10 aces in the first game, Mia Graber had seven kills, Samantha Miller with nine assists, and both Miller and Rubye Ney had five digs.

IMS travels to Winfield-Mt. Union on Monday October 22nd for a 7:00 p.m. match against the Wolves.
