The Iowa Mennonite girls golf team competed at the Southeast Iowa Super Conference golf tournament on Monday, April 30 and brought home some awards. Gretta Rempel led the team with a 105 to receive third team all-conference recognition. Lara Kliewer shot a 109, including a career low 48 on the front nine, to receive honorable mention all-conference. Also competing were Hannah Peters, 138, and Kennedy Roth, 142, for a team score of 494 good enough for 10th place in the 14 school meet.
“This was a great meet for the girls overall,” coach Steve Nelson said. “It is great seeing how you stack up against the whole conference and I’m especially pleased to see Gretta and Lara get some recognition for their hard work.”
IMS girls regular season is complete as they finish with a 2-3 conference record in the North division. They now await to hear their regional destination on Monday, May 14.
