FFA students did a great job at state convention on Monday and Tuesday, April 28-29th.
Jacob Bruns competed in Ag Broadcasting and received a silver. Ag Broadcasting consists of a 30 minute prep period to develop a five minute newscast. This includes weather, top stories, and markets.
The Ag Sales team, consisting of Kaycee Miller, McKayla Brush, Timothy Bender, and Jacob Bruns, received a gold and ninth place in over 70 teams. McKayla placed 18th overall. Ag Sales has three components: 1) a general knowledge test about salesmanship; 2) an individual sales call where they are one-on-one with a customer; 3) a team presentation where they discuss customer prospects to their employers.
The opportunities that FFAers receive on the local, district, and state level build our leaders of tomorrow.
