Gretta has enjoyed participating in multiple clubs, fine arts and sports while at IMS. So far she has participated in The Reflector newspaper, Compassion Club, Student Government, Math Club, Chapel Committee, piano lessons with Susan See, the fall musical last year (Cotton Patch Gospel), the fall drama this year (Those Crazy Ladies in the House on the Corner), the spring children’s drama, chorale, volleyball, softball, golf, and the girls weightlifting program- Women of Steel.  Gretta feels that being involved is a way to learn new things and contribute her talents back to the IMS community. She says,  “Last year I collaborated with English the teacher, Maya Kehr-Yoder, to revive the student written school newspaper, The Reflector, which has made a way for community members and students to see student writing and reflection. I was also involved in the production of Amahl and the Night Visitors where I was able to interact with alumni involved in the production.”  Gretta would like others to know that, “With IMS being such a small school students can really be themselves and express their interests and passions, get to know students in all grades, and succeed academically from the support teachers provide.”

Find out how you can be involved by coming to visit IMS on Monday, January 16th for our Visit Day. Register at
