Tickets to an exciting evening of glorious vocal chamber music, favorites from musical theatre and the opera are now available. Red Campion performs on the Celebration Hall stage March 23, 2013 at 7 pm. Call the IMS office to purchase reserved seating tickets.
Red Campion is an energetic ensemble of four singers and one pianist: 1990 IMS graduate and Wellman native soprano Lara Troyer, a beautiful lyric coloratura soprano who currently serves on the faculty of Kent State University; Denise Milner Howell, a charming mezzo-soprano who is an active performer of operatic and musical theater works and a voice teacher at Ashland University; vibrant tenor Timothy Culver, an Assistant Professor of Voice at Kent State University’s Hugh A. Glauser School of Music who is known throughout northern Ohio for his stage roles; versatile baritone Brian Johnson who teaches music in the Akron Public School System and has performed throughout the United States and Italy; and pianist Judith Ryder who was the founding Director of Cleveland Opera’s well-known education and outreach program and is currently the Manager of the Cleveland Arts Education Consortium at Cleveland State University.

It’s not too early to make plans for May! The Alumni Association and Fine Arts committee invite you to join a ONE DAY MUSICAL event, May 25, 2013.
William (Bill) Eash, IMS music instructor (1976-78 and 1979-84) and Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities at Bethel College, KS, will conduct an alumni and friends-of-IMS choir. Rehearsal takes place during the day, with the concert following that evening at 7 pm in Celebration Hall. A reception, hosted by the Alumni Association, follows the performance.
