Berean Chapter

The IMS Berean Chapter of National Honor Society promotes excellence in scholarship, character, leadership and service. Annual activities include organizing and coordinating the Spring Blood Drive and planning the Spring Academics and Fine Arts Night.

To be eligible for membership, students must be classified as a junior or senior and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.3. In addition, potential members must exhibit high standards of leadership, service and character.

Leadership is based on the student’s effective leadership in community, school and church activities. To meet the service criterion the student must have been active in service projects at IMS and the larger community. Character is measured by demonstrating high integrity of behavior and ethics in cooperation with both students and faculty at IMS, as well as the community. Seniors are eligible to apply for a national scholarship of $2,000.

The faculty sponsor is Lynn Yoder.
