The IMS Music Boosters will host an evening at the Pizza Ranch in Washington on Wednesday evening, November 16th from 5 to 8 pm. All tips and a portion of the evening’s sales will go into the Music Booster fund which supports many aspects of music and drama. Come early and spend an enjoyable evening eating pizza and visiting many IMS supporters!

The IMS Music Boosters selected seven vocal or instrumental students to receive $50 this summer to be used for a music camp that they will be attending. Those receiving scholarships are: Hannah Altmaier, Ting Davidson, Anne Buckwalter, Nathan Peterson, Eleya Raim, Ida Short, and Sam Swartzendruber.

The IMS Music Boosters will host an evening at the Pizza Ranch in Iowa City on Monday evening, February 28. All tips and a portion (20%) of the evening’s sales will go directly to the music department to help with the Touring Choir’s trip to Puerto Rico. Touring Choir students will be serving from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. You are invited to enjoy an evening out and help the students earn money for the Spring, 2011 trip. In order for 20% of your bill to go to the Touring Choir you need to present this Pizza Ranch Coupon when you order and pay for your meal. This evening was postponed from January so the coupon will have the January date. However, the Pizza Ranch is accepting the coupon that is on the second page of the file.
Ventriloquist and comedian Ryan Bomgardner will perform on Sunday, November 14th. The comedy concert will begin at 2:00 p.m. at Iowa Mennonite School in Celebration Hall. Ryan and Friends perform over 130 comedy concerts annually which range from corporate events to churches, concerts, cruises, and TV appearances. Ryan performs across the United States and Canada with his hilarious cast that includes Harold and Irene, an elderly couple, Ardy the skunk, and Jeffrey, the self-proclaimed star of the show! The IMS Music Booster Bake Sale was a success on Saturday, September 11, 2010. The delectable dessert items were enjoyed by many fans and alumni! The music boosters and friends raised over $485 for the IMS Music Department. This money will be used for scholarships, instruments, music folders, and miscellaneous supplies for IMS musicians. Items looked awesome and tasted even better (as many reported)!
