On Tuesday, the Compassion Club held its third work time for sewing bags for Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) school kits. Their goal is to make 62 bags which will hold the school supplies they have. This is just one activity that the club does throughout the year.
Compassion Club’s mission is to care for people’s needs locally and globally. One way that has been done has been through sponsoring children through Children International. Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center received 35 units today at the blood drive sponsored by the Compassion Club. Fourteen students gave blood, ten of them for the first time.
