Accreditation

We like to say we’re more than a school, because we believe in nurturing the whole person. At Iowa Mennonite School you will grow academically, socially, mentally and spiritually. Perhaps because of this well-rounded approach to quality education, we excel at academics and outscore national averages. IMS is fully accredited by the State of Iowa Department of Education.

What is Accreditation?

Accreditation is basically the common “stamp of approval” that the state department gives to schools after thorough investigation of the school, its curriculum and practices. To earn this label, a school must meet or exceed the minimum requirements for operation as either an elementary or secondary school as stated in the general statutes and regulations adopted by the State Board of Education. If a school meets these minimum standards, it is granted accreditation just like us.
