What is PTO?
PTO is an organization of well, parents and teachers. Together they work toward the betterment of the school. An annual project they complete is staffing the delicious IMS apple fritter booth at the Kalona Fall Festival. Who wouldn’t want to be around all those fritters? Proceeds from this project help purchase above-budget resources for IMS. And it is much appreciated!

Want to get involved?
Great! We’d love to have you on board! PTO meetings are held several times a year and are open to all parents so no need to call ahead. They start at 7pm, and exact dates will be announced on the website. The agenda varies from meeting to meeting, but each provide an opportunity for you to get to know the school – and others involved with the school – more. We encourage you all to attend!
If you’d like to help plan the meetings, just send word to Tony Miller (principal) or Candi Schmieder (Director of Enrollment).
