IMS Softball Loses Lead Early In Defeat

The IMS softball team watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 13-0 loss to the Danville Bears at home on Tuesday, May 22nd. Danville scored on a sacrifice fly by, a single, and a walk in the first inning.

IMS struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing the Bears, giving up 13 runs. IMS’s sole hit was a single by Avery Blauvelt in the fourth inning.  Haiden Molter was credited with the victory for Danville. She allowed just one hit in four innings, striking out seven and walking none.

Joya Schrock took the loss for IMS. She pitched one inning, allowing four runs on one hit and striking out one. Suzanna Yoder pitched the remaining 3 innings.  IMS plays at Louisa Muscatine on May 29th.
