Chapel Report for May 14-18, 2018

Our theme for this week was “Worship is Reflecting”. Taking time to reflect on how we have been living our lives is an essential part of learning from both our failures and our successes.

On Monday we heard from two of our seniors, Avery Blauvelt and Isaac Miller, as they shared reflections on their time at IMS and the significant events that helped them in their faith journey.

Tuesday was small group day. Students were encouraged to reflect on this past year and how they have dealt with challenges and joys along the way.

A sneak preview of our upcoming concert on Sunday was our chapel on Wednesday. We heard a song from each of these groups: Jazz Band, Chorale, Touring Choir and then the mass choir of the Chorale and Touring Choir together.

On Thursday we heard two more reflections from students Greta Schrag and Monet Slabach. Greta shared as a non-returning sophomore and Monet as a senior.

Friday’s chapel featured the IMS Praise Band with the final Praise Band chapel of the year. We are saying goodbye to the 5 seniors in Praise Band: Isaac Miller (4 years), Hannah Peters (2 years), Monet Slabach (2 years), Rachael Hovde (1 year), and Palmer Thomas (1 year).
