IMS 4, Central Lee, Donnellson 0

Isaiah Swantz led the way with a hat trick propelling IMS to the 4-0 win over Central Lee. The first goal came just two minutes into the game when the Central Lee goalie cleared a ball sending it out about 40 yards from goal. Swantz cut to the ball, saw the goalie was not getting back into position and lofted a shot which cleared the goalies hands and settled into the back of the net. While IMS kept the pressure up and created some good scoring chances the Central Lee goalie successfully kept IMS from adding to the score.  Finally in the twelfth minute Swantz gathered in a rebound and powered in a shot. Though the goalie was in position, the ball took a slight deflection and into the net for the 2-0 half-time lead.

Both teams made adjustments at halftime and the back line of IMS, Kobe Borntrager, Reggie Borntrager, Eli Ours and Mitchell Schmieder stepped up, shutting down what remained of the Central Lee offense. Near the halfway point of the half IMS got the ball wide where Jacob Boller sent a ball into Cole Ours who turned the ball into the net. Swantz claimed the hat trick after Cole Ours was knocked down in the box. Swantz’s pk rocketed into the goal giving the goalie no chance to make the save.

With the win IMS moves to 5-0.
