Chapel Wrap Up August 28

Worship in fellowship with each other as children of God

Our chapel theme this year is “Worship Is…” Each week we will explore some way in which all of life is worship. This week our emphasis was “Worship is Fellowship.” Monday’s chapel was an introduction to this week’s theme with an interactive activity showing how we fellowship as children of God. We closed with the song “Hello My Name is Child of the One True King”.

Tuesday’s chapel was an introduction to how we can fellowship in small groups. A few students shared about their past small group experiences at IMS, and then students were given the opportunity to sign up for their group.

On Wednesday, our emphasis was fellowship with God. Some students shared about their experience this past summer at youth convention. We concluded by singing “Praise God from Whom” and “What is this Place.”

Thursday’s chapel continued the theme of fellowship with God with the title “Fellowship of the King”, a take off of J.R.R. Tolkien’s novel, Fellowship of the Ring. A skit was done to show the connection with God through Jesus.

The week wrapped up with an emphasis on the variety of ways students can be involved at IMS. We fellowship with each other in the various clubs and organizations here while we serve a greater good.
