The start of the new school year always begins with teacher work days. It is an exciting time of reconnecting with faculty and staff, getting classrooms ready and engaging in some professional development before the start of class time with our students.
This year we did something new for our first lunch together. We went out to Geyer’s Oven together. We shared a pair of solar glasses that Jane Schlabaugh brought to view the solar eclipse. We were able to catch some glimpses of it despite the cloudy weather.
The second day faculty and staff were treated to lunch by Hills Bank. It was fun to see our IMS connections through the bank. Then the afternoon was spent in professional development learning about formative assessments. The faculty and staff all look forward to providing a great experience for our students and their families for the 2017-18 school year!
