Our theme this week as we think about ways that we have been blessed was DiagnosED. We were focusing on health; physical, mental and spiritual.

On Monday, our chapel time was focused by the scripture from Philippians 4:6-7. Then three students shared of struggles they are having in the areas of mental, spiritual and physical health. Their sharing was powerful as they were open and honest about these struggles.

Tuesday’s chapel time was mainly in small groups. Prior to going to small groups, we gathered for a preview and some instructions about our viewing of “Screenagers” next week with Mid-Prairie High School.

For Wednesday’s chapel, we viewed a short video about Matt Stutzman, the Armless Archer. Then we participated in some activities which helped us appreciate our physical abilities.

Kendra Bailey joined us for Thursday’s chapel. Kendra, an alum of IMS, is owner of Imagine Therapy Solutions, a mental health private practice in North Liberty. She shared about handling stress in healthy ways and reminded us that in Christ, we are a new creation.

We concluded our chapel week on Friday by focusing on spiritual health. There was a skit written by Roman Slabach which showed how the fruits of the Spirit are exhibited as we grow in our spiritual health.
