The IMS volleyball team took third in the annual Washington High School volleyball tournament on Saturday losing to Sigourney in the match for third place. “Though the team made it to the semi-finals, the big match for the day was against Sigourney. Though we played well against the host school, Washington, we had ups and downs that resulted in us having to win in three sets. Against Sigourney the team reset their mental focus and won in straight sets without all the ups and downs,” coach Shannon Miller noted. “The team did a good job in placing their attacks on different areas of the court, which kept Sigourney guessing,” coach Miller commented.
