The Iowa Mennonite boys cross country team placed sixth of seven teams at the Fairfield invitational Thursday at Waterworks park in Fairfield. Levi Geyer ran a great race moving up to third place near the finish line where he fell losing two places in the process. He was fifth in 18:19 on the 4.7k course. Jacob Boller was the team’s number two runner placing twenty-sixth in 21:01. Cameron Roser-Peet was twenty-eighth in 21:17 in his first varsity outing. Anthony Villatoro placed thirty-first in 21:43. Gerardo Mendoza showed great improvement over his performance at the early bird meet. He placed thirty-fifth in 22:08. Micah Miller took over three minutes off his time at this meet last year placing thirty-eighth in 22:39. Jesse Slater also ran in the varsity race taking forty-seventh place.
