Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center received 42 units today at the blood drive sponsored by the Compassion Club.   Fourteen students gave blood, all for the first time.  Many of the teachers and staff, as well as parents and community members helped out.

Sponsor Gloria Yoder said, “I’m very pleased with the turnout and result since we greatly surpassed our goal of 30 units. Our Compassion members did a super job of recruiting blood donors and we had a few surprise walk-ins from our Amish neighbors.”

Each unit of donation helps three patients.
