In his Creative Project in sculpture, senior Nick Wagner proved his skill in seeing, thinking, and working in three dimensions. Two of his best pieces have been on display at IMS. Recently a guest artist visiting IMS was instantly attracted to the skill evident in these two sculptures which seemed exceptional for a high school student. The little reptile, (only about 5″ long) was carved in soapstone. The life size self -portrait was formed out of clay and was painted after firing.
Good work, Nick!
