Chapel Wrap-Up {August 26-30}

Theme for the week is “I AM Bold”
 
Monday: Members of Chapel Committee introduced the week’s theme, emphasizing that being bold is not the same as simply being loud. Sharing by Lane Schrock, Timothy Bender, and Dallas Nye.
 
Tuesday: Introduction to Small Groupsa place were we can be bold in sharing our struggles and joys as a community of believers.

Wednesday: Curt Wyse, sharing about his experiences in India with Kalona Mennonite pastor, Jeff Miller. In a culture where Christianity is not the norm, Christians must be bold to share their faith and beliefs.

Thursday: Discussions in Sibling Family Groups about Bible stories of Boldness, ways that Jesus was bold, and how we can be bold in our everyday lives, following His example.

Friday: Timothy Bender boldly recited James 2:14-17 that he memorized to share with his peers this week, followed by Maya Kehr Yoder sharing stories of boldness that have impacted her life. Maya explained that sometimes being bold is risky, uncomfortable, or dangerous and how as a young child she experienced a real life “Good Samaritan” experience. Maya also told the story of Maeyken Wens, an woman who was bold to the point of dying for her faith, whom Maya herself was named after and was a wonderful example of being a bold believer.
