Monday: No School, Spring Break

Tuesday: Jessica Schmeckpeper from Rape Victim Advocacy Program came to share about sexual assault and sexual harassment  explaining to students the difference in these two behaviors and ways to recognize and deal with these situations when they occur.

Wednesday-Friday: Spiritual Emphasis with the IMS Praise Band and speaker Josh Lundberg.

Josh Lundberg

Each year, three days are set aside as Spiritual Emphasis days, with extended chapels and a special speaker invited to come and speak to students about their own personal faith. This year, Josh focused on each of us inviting the Spirit (Hebrew: Ruah, Greek: Nooma) to live and be seen in our lives. He challenged students to consider their thoughts, words, actions, motives and attitudes and to allow each of these areas to be trained by the Spirit. Josh explained that God wants us to experience the best life he has for us, to be joyful in all circumstances and the only way to experience that is through submitting to God’s design and plan for each of us. Josh challenged students to show the Spirit within us by our love for others just as Jesus commanded his disciples in his last instructions to them. A special thanks to Josh for his words of challenge and encouragement this week!
