Director of Development Larry Swartzendruber calls out-of-state alumni, encouraging them to vote for IMS in the U.S. Cellular’s “Calling all Communities” contest!

Don’t have extra cash on hand but still want to support your favorite high school? Take part in the campaign “Calling All Communities.”

It began on September 14th and ends at 11:59 pm on October 21 and gives IMS the opportunity to win up to $150,000! Anyone 18+ years old from across the country can help us win so spread the word!

NEW UPDATE: We are currently in 18th place! if the contest ended today we would get $50,000! so Now we have to stay there! we need every vote we can get during this next week! Please help us.

Here’s what you do:

1. Go to any US Cellular store and get a voting card.  You do not have to be a US Cellular customer. 

2. Next go to uscellular.com. In the middle of the page on the left side is a VOTE NOW button under the Calling All Communities heading.  Click on it.

3. In the middle of the page under the video is a REGISTER HERE button. Click on it. It will bring up a box asking you to enter your name, address, email, phone number, etc.

4.  Under step 2) VOTE, enter Kalona’s zip code – 52247 – Find Iowa MENNONITE SCHOOL. Click on Visit School Page.

5.  In the upper right hand corner, click on VOTE FOR US.

Super simple but will make a huge impact for IMS. You can only vote once during the contest period so it is important that you get a card and vote and encourage others you know to do the same. 

IMS will use the funds to update technology on campus and for student aid.

Lutheran Interparish School in Williamsburg was a winner of $50,000 during last year’s contest.  They have been very helpful in providing information to us to help us win this year!
