IMS lost to Pekin on senior night in five games with scores of 29-31, 25-22, 15-25, 25-20, 12-15. ”I have never been more proud of my team than tonight,” Coach Cindy Miller commented.  In the second play of the first game, Casey Perez, the setter and floor leader, felt her knee snap.  IMS had no choice but to come with a new line-up that did not include Casey on the floor.  At that instant, everything we have worked all season to perfect was gone.  But what was so impressive is that no one gave up at that point.  Hannah Miller, Keilah Brokaw, and Demi Brezina took over the helm of setting responsibilities.

that win since we were definitely out of system.   I have not ever felt so positive about a loss especially going into tournaments next week,” Miller said.

Seniors players Keilah Brokaw, Laura Hochstetler, Naomi Miller, and Anya Slabaugh and senior manager Hannah Gingerich were honored before the game.

IMS finishes the regular season with an overall record of 18-14 and a conference record of 6-3.  IMS will travel to Lone Tree on Tuesday, October 16 to play Lone Tree in the first round of regionals.
