Senior Cody Miller and sophomore Kirby Shetler both won all-conference honors at the South East Iowa Supper Conference cross country meet held near Morning Sun Thursday night.  The cold front had moved through earlier in the afternoon bringing rain and cooler temperatures to the southeast corner of the state.  The races were even delayed due to the rain and lightning in the area.  Once the festivities began Miller ran a smart race.  He was about twentieth place at the mile mark and was able to continue to move up in the second mile until he made it to the sixth position.  He challenged the fifth runner a couple of times to no avail.  He finished in sixth place with a time of 16:49.  Shetler ran a similar race a few seconds back.  There was a group clustered around the fifteenth slot in the final mile.  Kirby got there and was able to hold his position to the end stealing the final all-conference spot with a time of 17:19.  The top fifteen are designated as all-conference.  This is the second time Shelter has earned all-conference honors.  Jacob Valov had a great race placing forty-seventh in 18:52.  Jacob Schmieder placed sixty-second in 19:40.  Kobi Russom rounded out the scoring placing eighty-fifth in 22:50.  Rex Yoder finished next in 23:02.  Richard Deming was eighty-seventh in 23:14. IMS placed eighth out of thirteen full teams. Highland won the team title.   Junior Dillon Timmerman of Mediapolis was the individual titlist finishing unchallenged for the second year in a row in 16:16.
