With many Monday nights empty on an IMS student’s social calendar, YCo, (the student council), created Funday Monday activities. Senior YCo leaders coordinate and organize the evening’s events, and sponsors Jane Schlabaugh, Bryan Neuschwander, and Mary Forney provide supervision.

August 27th provided team competitive Dutch Blitz, using gigantic cards; team ping-pong in “round the world” style; and volleyball. September 10th found students playing kickball. On September 24th and October 8th, flag football will be the game of choice. Participation is voluntary and teams are formed randomly upon arrival. Feedback remains positive, as nearly half the student body has been present on scheduled Monday evenings.
