School lunches need to meet requirements from the state of Iowa that are healthy and wholesome for our students. Fruits, vegetables, and whole grains are required. Processed food is discouraged. Our new food service director, Maria Boucher, has accepted this challenge and has been doing a great job of providing great-tasting, nutritious and attractive lunches! Kids are enjoying the variety. As one of her student servers, Thaddeus Yoder, says, “what deliciousness are you serving today, Maria!”
