We thought history instructor Marcus Miller was dressed a little differently today. When confronted Marcus explained, “When we review colonial American history I sometimes like to pull out my colonial costume from when I worked for a group now called the Germantown Mennonite Historic Trust. The clothing was made to resemble what a typical man living in Philadelphia would have worn in 1690. It gives students a chance to see how clothing styles have changed, to learn from outside the text, and to laugh a bit at the teacher.”
