The annual Y-Co sponsored Get Acquainted Party brought the entire student body together on the soccer field on Friday night, August 17. Interactive games allowed for informal ways to find new friends and reconnect with “already” friends. Following a fast-paced hour of playing Horses, Knights, & Cavaliers, then Link Tag, and finally a Red Rover competition involving Freshman vs. Sophomores and Juniors vs. Seniors, cooperation created an all-school Circle Sit.

At 8:15 pm, the sophomores and juniors went their separate ways, while the seniors and new students headed for more fun activities within their Sibling Families. Some groups attended the Williamsburg football scrimmage followed by pizza, some went bowling, others took in putt-putt golf, and still others took food to various parks in Iowa City to chill and get to know each other.

At 10:30 pm, the freshmen were returned to the IMS campus to begin their all night lock-in with class sponsors Lynn Yoder and Aaron Gingerich.
