IMS jumped out to a 2-0 lead after one inning of play in Riverside. Highland cut the score to 2-1 with a home run in the second. IMS came back and got three runs in the third, one run in the fourth, and four more runs in the fifth to make the score 10-2 after five innings. IMS added four more runs in the seventh before giving up three runs in the bottom of the last inning to make the final score 14-5.

Reggie Hostetler pitched all seven innings getting the win on the mound. Hostetler added two hits with a double at the plate as well. Christopher Perez led IMS at the plate going five for five with a double and five RBIs. Aaron Ockenfels had two hits and two RBIs. Zeke Nebel had a two RBI single and Cameron Gingerich scored three runs. “We consistently hit the ball hard and were able to put together some big innings offensively,” said Coach Danny Hershberger.

IMS is 14-10 on the season and will finish regular season play Tuesday night at Danville.
