IMS bounced back from a tough loss Tuesday to defeat Columbus 74-44 Friday in Columbus. IMS got out to a 22-10 lead after one quarter and led 50-23 at the half.  The running clock was in effect much of the second half as all but one player scored for IMS.

Johnny Lackender and Brian Hagedorn led the way for IMS with 16 points and six rebounds apiece.  Cameron Gingerich and Peyton Thompson scored eight points each and Chance Miller, Randy Ropp, and Dallas Nye added five points apiece.  Joel Shetler scored four, Justin Boller had three, and Reggie Hostetler and Zach Hill completed the scoring with two points apiece.  Nye had a team-high five assists while Hostetler and Gingerich each had four.  Gingerich had a team-high three steals.

Coach Dwight Gingerich said “we played as a unit, we moved the ball well, and our rebounding was better.  Hopefully we can build on this effort and keep it going in the right direction.”

IMS moves to 12-3 in conference play, 13-4 overall.
