IMS hosted Columbus before a packed Alumni Night crowd and snapped a two-game losing streak by defeating the Wildcats 75-28.  IMS got out to a 13-0 lead after three minutes and led 31-3 after one period.  The lead grew to 59-18 at the half and the mercy rule was in effect the entire second half.  IMS shot 69 percent from the floor enroute to the win.
 
IMS was paced by Brian Hagedorn’s 21 points and 7 rebounds and Peyton Thompson and Cameron Gingerich scored 14 points each.  Chance Miller added 12 points, five assists and two steals and Johnny Lackender added six points and four rebounds.  Reggie Hostetler and Joel Shetler each scored four points to complete the scoring.  Gingerich added a pair of steals.
 
Coach Dwight Gingerich said “we came out with very good intensity at the defensive end and our rebounding was much improved.  We moved the ball well which got us great looks.”
 
The win raises IMS’ mark to 5-1 in conference play, 5-2 overall.  IMS next plays at Mediapolis Tuesday.
