IMS lost to Wapello Friday night 31-56.  IMS fell behind early and trailed 4-16 after one quarter.  Wapello continued to play well through the second quarter and went into intermission with a 32-13 lead.  The IMS players showed a little life out of halftime but weren’t able to sustain any type of run to cut into the Wapello lead.  Coach Aaron Gingerich commented “Wapello was better prepared to play than we were.  It felt like we were a step behind the whole night.  We will continue to work toward playing good basketball consistently.”

Riley Schmieder led IMS with seven points, Keilah Brokaw and Laura Hochstetler chipped in with six, Kristin Davis scored five, Olivia Yutzy had four points, Laura Yoder had two, and Hannah Miller rounded out the scoring with a point.

IMS drops to 1-5 on the season and next plays Tuesday at rival Lone Tree.
