IMS defeated Lone Tree in a volleyball match at home in three games Tuesday night.  The overall leader in the match was Casey Perez finishing 100% serving 17-17 with three aces, 11 assists, five kills, and eight defensive digs.  Olivia Yutzy finished with seven kills while Anya Slabaugh and Laura Hochstetler finished with five kills each.  Defensively, Olivia Yutzy and Laura Hochstetler each had five digs.  The team finished with 95% serving overall missing only four serves all night.  Along with Perez, Keilah Brokaw served 100% going 17-17 with five aces. Laura Yoder served 13-14 with one ace and Laura Hochstetler served 8-8 with one ace.  It was fun to see Laura Brenneman come off the bench to tip into their open court and get the kill.

“Lone Tree had a few tough servers so our passing wasn’t accurate enough to get our offense fired up tonight.   We showed our defensive hustle on those long volleys and were able to gain control of the games by our servers.  It was great to see the girls not give up when the match was close and get the win,” said Coach Cindy Miller.
