The varsity baseball team split a pair of games at home against Pekin on Monday evening.

Christopher Perez had two hits and three RBIs in a game one loss 6-3 Monday night to conference rival Pekin.  In the nightcap, IMS came back to take the split winning 8-6.  Marshall Schrock got his second victory on the mound while Jackson Brokaw came in during the seventh inning to capture the save.  Zeke Nebel provided the spark at the plate breaking open an early lead in the fourth with a successful one-out suicide squeeze play that scored Jackson Brokaw from third base and Marshall Schrock off a subsequent throwing error by the pitcher throwing to first.

The conference split moves IMS record in the SEISC to 9-5.
